At the SEMA show this year, we were hanging out with our friends Larry and Debbie Weiner of Performance West Group and Larry asked us if we were going to the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals show ....... we hadn’t heard about it and Larry went on to tell us that he was taking some of his stable of fab Muscle Cars for Mr. Norms Garage and that there was quite a lineup of cars scheduled to exhibit. Larry said he could arrange for us to have a booth and recommended the show highly ..... soooooo..... Off We Went... This weekend the HotRodHotLine.com crew hopped a plane and headed for Chicagoland !
Probably the highlight of the show was that we got to meet Dave and Joyce Emery for the first time. We have “known” them for many many years as Dave’s Ridler award winning car “REVOLVER” was HotRodHotLine’s FIRST Featured Ad ! Wow... that was a LONG time ago.... so it was really great to be able to shoot the breeze with them in person. We’re looking forward to being able to show you Dave’s new car..... coming SOON !
The show promoter did a FABULOUS job of bringing in a huge number of really nice Muscle Cars. Everything from Camaros to Super Bees... and all in between. There were 500 cars on display and lots of vendors plus an indoor swap meet so there was fun for all.The premise of the show was based on a “rivalry” between Nickey Chicago and Mr. Norms Garage, who both had a lot of great cars on display. Combined with the quality of the other cars brought in from around the country.... this show was unparalleled in the Muscle Car field. Davviki introduces for 2009 the '33-'34 five-window body style. Using the same steel with hardwood structure proven in their '32 five window, the new model has had great acceptance from traditional rod builders. Davviki offers 11 different body styles. Each package is built to customer specifications. Choices include hidden or exposed hinges, smooth or exterior door handles, stock or channeled floor with a wide variety of suspension and drivetrain options. The limited chop (1.5 inches) offers greater interior room than any similar car in the market place. Bodies are built from 150 resins, reinforced with steel and ash hardwood.
