Free Hot Dogs And Chili to find a Cure
Classic Auto Restoration Specialist (C.A.R.S.) has teamed up with Progeria to find a cure. Every Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Classic Auto Restoration Specialist will offer free hot dogs, chili and soda pop at their North Fort Myers facility. Donations to Progeria will be accepted. Progeria is a fatal, rapid aging disease that afflicts children causing them to die of old age complications such as stroke or heart attack at a very young age. Chip Foose has teamed up with PRF, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure, as his sister Amy died from the disease at the young age of 16. Best known for his role on the TLC reality TV series Overhaulin’ and his automotive workshop Foose Design, Foose’s unmatchable talent has helped turn many automotive dreams into reality acquiring several prestigious honors along the way. Chip was the youngest member ever inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame in 1997. In addition, he is a three time Riddler Award winner and his work is currently featured at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles in an exhibit entitled “Chip Foose: From Pen to Pavement.” C.A.R.S. is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and by appointment for special tours. The facility is located at 17570 N. Tamiami Trail, Suite 2, North Fort Myers, FL 33903, just north of the Shell Factory.

3rd Annual York High School Falcons Car Show
Rain/snow date: March 28 12PM-4PM. This is a fundraiser for the High School's After-Prom event, sponsored by the PTSA. The After-Prom is an adult-chaperoned, alcohol and drug free event for this year's Seniors. 17 classes of vehicles, including cars, trucks and motorcycles. 56 trophies awarded, including best of show and people's choice. Goody bags and dash plaques to the first 125 entries. Restrooms and concessions. 50/50 raffle. Lots of door prizes. For more info please shoot me an e mail. We had 135 vehicles at last year's event. Event Fees: $15 pre-registration and $20 day of show. No spectator fee.
