The polished aluminum valve covers offer fresh, high end style with a new, never-before seen functionality for the discerning owner. CMW wanted to incorporate entirely new ideas in both the looks and functions of the covers and did so by incorporating the PCV valve and breather into new design elements. Adding to the uniqueness are the removable styling elements, including center section, which can be painted, polished or plated in numerous combinations to the owner’s likes. CMW’s design goal from the start was to avoid the bulky, ‘stuck on’ appearance of conventional PCVs and breathers normally seen on engines that have to use either one or both. This lets you use different spring rates and maintain the same ride height by adjusting the lower spring collar on the coil-over. Often the coil-over shock has an adjustable rebound rate, too. Juliano’s Positive-Closing Power Cowl Vent: Juliano’s power cowl vent is engineered to shut tightly and provide a positive seal to seal out cold air and rain from your car’s interior. The secret to this unit is a reverse-polarity motor that only works in one direction at a time. It will either open or close the vent, and absolutely cannot allow it to re-open even if you hold your finger on the power button too long. Other power cowl vent kits operate on a continuous-rotation principle, which means they don’t “know” when to stop. The new COMP Cams® Lightweight Tool Steel Retainers provide the best of all valve train benefits: light weight, as well as exceptional strength and wear characteristics. Approximately 33 percent lighter than conventional chromemoly steel retainers and only 2-4 grams heavier than titanium (depending upon application), they are made from high grade Tool Steel, making them able to withstand even the most demanding race applications. When used as part of a well engineered valve train system, these unique retainers offer superior control of valve motion and high rpm stability – benefits normally only associated with more expensive titanium retainers. CNC-machined for consistent quality, COMP Cams® Lightweight Tool Steel Retainers were developed using the latest FEA and CAD software to allow for optimization of weight and strength. Spintron®-tested to extreme rpm, these lightweight retainers were subjected to grueling race simulations without failure, thus validating early material tests which found them to have strength equivalent to that of both titanium and standard steel retainers.
