SWAP IN SOMETHING BIGGER & BETTER

Whittier, CA (JULY22, 2008)- Plugging an LS motor into an older SB Chevy chassis is not only a step up in power, but the newer LS series engines run cleaner, more reliably and more fuel efficiently than the "dinosaur" SB Chevy engines of yesteryear. Trans-Dapt Performance products a member of the Hedman Performance Group, realizes the popularity of this swap, and has created an extensive line of products that take some of the headache out of performing the transplant..

Trans-Dapt Performance Products has been offering engine mounts and transmission adapters since 1959, and is one of the founding members of SEMA. With this much performance aftermarket experience, nothing leaves the Trans-Dapt factory unless it meets strict quality and performance standards.

Trans-Dapt's #4592 LS engine into SB Chevy Chassis kit (shown) comes complete with sturdy 5/16" thick adapter plates, mounting hardware and a fresh pair of mount pads that bolt directly to the factory perches. If you already have your own set of pads, or you are plugging the LS into a Chevy Truck, Trans-Dapt also offers the kit without pads (use factory pads on trucks). If your configuration requires additional clearance at the front of the engine, Trans-Dapt kit #4595 is designed to provide an additional one inch of clearance.

Trans-Dapt's line of LS swap mounts also includes kits specifically created for LS into S10, Blazer applications. Also available are engine swap motor mount kits for popular GM, Ford, Dodge, Jeep and Toyota combinations, as well as, universal style street rod kits. As a member of the Hedman Performance group, Trans-Dapt's engine swap mounts are designed to work in unison with Hedman's swap hedders, and Hamburger's swap oil pans. This cooperation between product lines ensures an easier build than using components from various different manufacturers.
