Despite the weatherman’s threats of severe weather on Sunday August 5, 2012, other than heat and humidity, no one at the 13th annual Independence Fire Company Car Show, had much else to deal with. When we arrived at 8:30 A.M. with our two cars, the street on which this event was held, already was nearly filled with Show vehicles on both sides, stretching over at least a ¼ mile length of North Broadway. The mix of vehicles included a Motorcycle drawn Hearse, Muscle Cars, Streetrods, and stock production cars from the 1930’s on up. One rather interesting vehicle, was a new generation Beetle, with a Small Block Chevrolet V-8 stuffed into it.  A really nice Show, and if you haven’t yet been to this one, give it a try next year.
