The Historical, Vintage & Classic Cars Museum in Kuwait recently revealed a remake of a 1935 Bugatti Type 57 Aerolithe, one of the rarest classic cars ever produced. The Aerolithe was a one-off prototype designed by Ettore Bugatti’s son, Jean, for the 1935 Paris Motor Show.
This “new” Type 57 Aerolithe was re-manufactured according to Bugatti’s original design and technical specs by the Guild Automotive Restoration Company in Canada. It was assembled with the utmost attention to detail, using all original Bugatti parts with matching numbers chassis, engine, transmission and rear differential. The builders even contacted Dunlop to custom fabricate whitewall tires so the car would match photographs from the 1935 Paris Motor Show.
