Last week, Hot Rod Hotline participated in the 20th anniversary of the Hot Rod Power Tour, a 7-day, 7-city, 1,600+ mile traveling car show through some of the coolest parts of the U.S.

The kick-off event took place in Charlotte, North Carolina at the zMAX Dragway inside Charlotte Motor Speedway. Thousands of cars and spectators showed up to check out the custom hot rods and muscle cars that came from all over. One car made the trip all the way from Alaska! The dragstrip was open for fun runs all day, which provided for a nice soundtrack as the cars blasted down the legendary 4-wide dragway.

We stopped in Knoxville, Tennessee for day 2 where the cars lined up along the lake inside Chillhowee Park. We met a lot of Hot Rod Hotline fans and made new friends, including a pig named Spoon!

Continuing on, the show lined the Kanawha River in downtown Charleston, West Virginia for a laid-back day of car talk and cruising. It’s here that we caught up with MSD Performance’s “Atomic Deuce,” a cool 1932 Ford 5 window coupe powered by an LS3 engine.

On day 4, we stopped at the famous Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, home to some of the most intense drag racing action in the world. It rained on and off in Norwalk, but that didn’t stop the gearheads and car lovers from having a good time.
