The 24th annual “Rolling Iron” Car Show was held on schedule this year, unlike last year when Mother Nature forced the Show Hosts to use their “Rain Date.” However, Mother Nature wasn’t exactly kind this year either, as the weather “Day-Of-Show”, was HOT and humid. The combination of heat and humidity no doubt took its toll on the total number of vehicles registered, though this is not to say that there wasn’t a substantial number of vehicles on display at this year’s Show. The 50/50, and Trophy presentations were held a bit earlier in the day this year, a decision driven most likely by the heat and humidity the participants were enduring all day, plus an imminent threat of Thunderstorms. Despite the less than favorable weather conditions, the Show was still enjoyable, and for us Railroad buffs, there was the nearby Pine Creek Railroad to enjoy.
