Story & photographs by Roger Rohrdanz
On the morning of June 24, over 120 Forty Fords started gathering at La Palma Park in Anaheim, CA. Along with the Forties, all pre-’68 makes and models are welcome. The total car count was near 300. The Forties Limited car club of Orange County did a great job as the host club. They guided the hot rods into position with Forties on one side of the park and the rest of the cars on the other side. Goody bags given to the first 250 participants and they included an event T-shirt. Forties Limited supports Children’s Hospital of Orange County and donates money from the 50/50, the Bake Sale and Barbeque. The Forties came from as far away as San Jose, CA, San Diego, CA, and Oregon. An exhibit of 15-20 Whizzer motorbikes was interesting. Amoung them was a tandem model, according to Ron Houk it was made in Luxemburg. He also pointed out the canvas covered trailer it pulled.
