’39 Ford Coupe – Dale Moreau ~ Portland, OR. Built by the Wiarda brothers in Hampton, NE. They bought it from a man near them that had owned it since 1959. I’m an automotive journalist. I had a photo assignment in St. Louis about the time I saw this car on Hot Rod Hot Line, so with a lull in the shooting, flew 1 hour to Nebraska. Hired a car & drove out into the country to meet with Mark & Todd, & of course look at the car. This shot was from the Mosier, Oregon cutoff high above the river. Every year on our anniversary we go up to Hood River, Oregon & have lunch at the historic Columbia Gorge Hotel.
