The Allaire State Park Car Show this year was postponed to the “Rain Date,” fortunately not cancelled like many events during this NOT dry Summer.
While the rescheduled show date did seem to affect attendance, according to one of the show staff, the final registered vehicle count was still a respectable 280 vehicles. The variety of new and old, from Model T Fords to nearly modern vehicles, gives one a nice selection of vehicles to view.
The show combines two of my favorite things: cars and trains, as part of the parking lot used for the show is the narrow Pine Creek Railroad’s parking area.
If New Jersey history is your thing, the Allaire Village, a remnant of New Jersey’s Iron Ore mining past, is also open for touring during the course of the car show.
