PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT – American Autowire’s Highway 22 Wiring System

A good chassis isn’t the only solid base needed to build a quality car; the electrical system also needs to be tough enough to handle today’s modern equipment. Most vintage wiring harnesses really aren’t up to task when it comes to the overwhelming combination of engines, electronics and chassis setups.

American Autowire developed the Highway 22 with that issue in mind.

The Highway 22 foundation starts with a piece of durable, non-conductive G10 composite material. This ensures our base is not only well insulated, but ready to handle years of service. Next, we attach 6/6 nylon panel components capable of tolerating temperatures over 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Power is distributed through stout 6 gauge buss bars, and self-locking “Hooke’s Law” clamp connections make sure your final terminations stay in place for the life of the car. Ample lengths of pre-labeled GXL wire make it simple to create custom routing specific to your needs.
