ARTIE’S PARTY / Pinstripes Jamboree – Gasoline Alley & Winfield Award @ SYRACUSE NATIONALS
Syracuse, New York

Back again to one of my favorite shows! This time with a different hot rod that kept me busy all weekend. There are limited pictures, but it was FUN!
We were invited to be at Artie’s Party/Pinstripes Jamboree, presented by PPG Automotive Refinishers and Mike Klein of Upstate Cellular, to make a little noise. The Team Frantic Ford Mach 1 Mustang Funny Car was set up outside Artie’s Party, and started up its 3,000 plus horsepower Nitro powerplant before the start of each auction to raise money for Central New York Ronald McDonald House.
We decided to give a little more and offer to auction off a chance to SIT IN THE FRANTIC FORD driver’s seat during each start up. IT WAS A SMASH HIT! The crowds were packed over ten people deep and 100 ft. across the front of Horticulture Building to see and hear the Frantic nitro noise. The sound echoed through the fairgrounds which were jammed with over 8,000 hotrods and over 70,000 spectators.
With each auction of the driver’s seat and a talented group of Facebook Frantic Ford artists from around the world donating their work, it was a successful total package.
Thanks to John Bell, Myles Limbrick, Jim Kinne and Christian Boyer. The end result was over $5,000 raised, adding to the final total of over $70,000!
