CARLISLE, PA – The third weekend of January is more than just a holiday weekend for some, it is also the start of collector car events season for Carlisle Events. The Carlisle-based company takes its unique automotive presentation on the road to the Allentown Fairgrounds for the always popular and always sold out Allentown Auto Mania weekend, running January 17-19, 2014. The event takes place in and around the 59,000 square foot facility that is Agricultural Hall and hosts a swap meet and car corral.
New for 2014, the car corral footprint will be dramatically expanded to better accommodate demand. While a car corral aspect was always part of the event weekend, 2013 saw great weather and a strong turnout. This response created an opportunity to add spaces via an outdoor tent. Auto Mania takes place regardless of weather and while outdoor sellers book space knowing as much, Carlisle Events hopes to offer further confidence and assurances that no matter Mother Nature’s plans for the weekend, they’ll be covered and dry for business.
In addition to the expanded car corral, Auto Mania once again offers Pennsylvania’s largest indoor heated swap meet. Within the facility, enthusiasts will find sold-out vending spaces packed with automotive pieces and parts. Included within the building will be a wide array of aftermarket accessories, original restoration items, new old stock parts, merchandise, memorabilia, collectibles and more.
While browsing the indoor and outdoor event, show goers are also encouraged to visit many of the great food vendors across the parking lot at the famous Allentown Farmers Market. No matter the final choice food wise, there is a wide array of fare available at affordable prices.
A great location and great venue also power Allentown Auto Mania. Finding the grounds is simple and convenient as it is less than two hours from New York City, Philadelphia and Scranton with major roads like I-78, the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 22 all nearby.
