Ever wanted to learn how to draw Hot Rods?....well, here you have it!
I spent time over the past few years at different car events with Scott Fisk, owner of Studio 669 professional Hot Rod Illustrator and Writer and decided to go Behind the Doors. His current creation is a book that he just authored and illustrated titled “Hot Rod Illustration #101, Drawing AUTOS~WITH~MOTIVE!” Simply put, it’s one of the coolest “how to” books about Hot Rod Illustration on the planet!
Scott Fisk is a Professional Hot Rod Illustrator from central Vermont and the owner/operator of “Studio 669”. Since the inception of his studio in 2005, Scott’s artwork has been featured in such magazines as Ol’ Skool Rodz, RENEGADE, Car Kulture Deluxe, Hot Rods Illustrated, Rodder’s Digest, Kustoms Illustrated, Smokin’~SHUTDOWN (Berlin, Germany), Streetlow and Right Coast just to name a few!!!
Scott’s book is awesome after spending time back and forth cover to cover! ..Everything from the glossy hard cover to its landscape format, it has been designed to please with almost 100 pages and 150 images guiding the “aspiring artist” through topics like range of motion, light sources, perspective elements and pencil techniques just to name a few.
Scott says: “There’s just enough verbiage to stay on task allowing you to understand everything without getting so technical that it ends up feeling “overcooked” leaving the student feeling discouraged.” He goes on to say; “More important, because you may be a “visual” person like I am; I’ve supplied piles and piles of imagery allowing for a more hands on approach! From here, the only limits are your imagination!”
“Hot Rod Illustration #101, Drawing AUTOS~WITH~MOTIVE!” is your guide to launch you into the middle of the pool of drawing Hot Rods! It also makes a perfect gift! His website is packed with loads of killer artwork as well as this 1-of-a-kind tutorial on Hot Rod Illustration that can be found in the “669 store.
