Good morning all….My good friend and guy I build cars on the weekends with, just bought this gem in the rough. He was going home last week and wanted to avoid the traffic and decided to take a short cut and got lost. Well as luck would have it on one of the streets he came across a '33 Ford Pick-Up Truck. He went up to the door and asked the guy if he wanted to sell it. He was not real interested in parting with it but Bob was able to charm him out of it. The top has been chopped 2" and the front fenders have been moved back a few inches also. It still has the old flat head V8 but knowing Bob that won't last long. As you can see the glass needs to be replaced but it's all flat and that's no problem. It needs a tailgate but I have found a place that remakes them. It needs a lot of bodywork but we have a metal man at the shop that can do with metal what David Copperfield can do with the Statue of Liberty, he's magic!!! Well here are some pictures of it just after Bob picked it up and I'll send some more as we move along……"That's my story and I'm sticking to it!"

Well here it is Part 2. As you can see the '33 has been completely taken apart. We have ordered a TCI IFS with bags, yes it will be bagged. But till it gets here there is all kinds of work that needs to be done. The frame will be boxed and conduit placed inside to run the wires needed. The body will be reworked and made ready for paint. All new glass and rubber will be ordered and we have our interior guy on standby. I will keep you posted as we move on. It's almost that time of year again……..THE SPRING FLING!!!!!! YA. "That's my story and I'm sticking to it." PS You will also find a picture of my back yard when the rains hit us last week. Maybe I should take up boat building. Ya think??? Bob

Well it's been 2 years and it's time to bring you all up to speed on the 33 Ford truck. To date we have made the cab 4" wider and 6" longer. A new frame has been made to hold the 302ci 500 hp Ford motor and an AOD trans. We installed bags on all 4 corners and built an electric powered tilt bed. The cab will be equipped with air, a full complement of gages and a sweet sound system. The front and read finders have been made wider and a custom running board is being built. With all the modifications we had to make a new 3-piece hood. An extra set of side windows also have been added. Oh did I tell you it's all steel no glass and NO bondo. All custom fabrications have been done by hand. Old school, very old school. A coat of black primer has been laid down and the truck will be driven for a few months to make sure everything fits just right. Then it all comes apart and High gloss black will be the color, both top and bottom. A mile of wire has been installed and we put conduit in the frame to run the wire to keep it neat and clean. Hope you enjoy the photos....... "THAT'S MY STORY AND I'M STICKING TO IT'.

Well gang the 33 truck is now ready to hit the streets. The body has been made 6" longer and 4" wider. The bed now tilts and the bags are a workin. The air and heater are coolin and heatin. The stereo is a stereoin. One small problem, we had a small leak in the tank but we pulled the tank and fixed her up. I will drive it for a bit just to make sure everything fits just right and then we'll lay down a few coats of HIGH gloss Black. After that, the insides will be done. I must say it rides sweet and the 425 hp Ford 302 really pushes this all steel all custom ride down the road. Well, here come the pictures.... Enjoy
Thank you Bob for sending us the pictures of your completed 33 Ford Truck. It is really neat when you can see the “Birth of a Street Rod” from start to finish.
