Every year on Monday following Father’s Day, Connecticut Street Rod Association presents Connecticut Dragway Reunion. This event began in 1985 and has grown every year, with this year’s official total standing at 780 cars. A club member told me that was the official count, based on the goodie bags that were handed out at the entrance to Mountain Ridge Resort, the nicest place for a car show that you can imagine. There were so many historic and current drag race cars at this year’s reunion that the cacklefest started before the traditional 7 PM light off. What a show! ,
