I hope you'll be able to use this picture. It is my 1948 Chevy; I bought it as a "basket case" in 1991. It has an Olds Cutlass (1980) sub frame, Olds 350 and turbo 350 trans, '74 Camaro rear-end with 3:08 gears, the hood and fenders are welded and tilt forward (I am planning on putting a hydraulic opener in this summer) we peaked the hood with a piece of 3/8 inch rod. The original box was in pretty rough condition so one of our local sheet metal shops bent up the box sides and front panel. I built the non-operating tailgate and the rear roll pan. The headlights are tunneled about 2 inches and rimmed with Chrysler Cordoba rings. The truck is all steel and 100% home built and painted. With the help of my brother "Spinner" we built the truck at home in our spare time in our pole barn and used common hand tools and imagination. Spinner laid the flames out freehand and did the paint job. I drive it to every show that I can, I've had it to Elkins WV, Louisville Nationals several times and to the Frog Follies several times plus all the area shows I can as time allows. Great Web Site.
