Here are some pictures of my 1954 Ford Skyliner. Before I got her around 15 years ago, she was sitting in my friends back yard for many years. There was no motor or transmission and there was body damage to the right front fender and the drivers door. I did all the body work, interior and painting on her. I put in a Ford 428 Police Interceptor with tri-power and a C6 transmission. The rear-end and front disk brake spindles are off a 76 Ford Granada. The hood is an original showroom hood made by Ford. The hood was given to the Ford dealers by Ford to put on one of their new 1954 model Ford Skyliner to show off the new V8 overhead valve motor and the new vehicle model in their showroom. There were very few hoods made and very few are still around today. The hood was not to be sold with any of the vehicles and were to be returned to Ford or destroyed at the end of 1954. The half glass top Skyliner were made for three years and only a few exist today. I drive this vehicle everyday, rain or shine. It gets a lot of looks because of the half glass roof and the glass insert hood.
