'68 Chevelle Richard & Sharon Lanphere Upstate NY. Sir William’s Chevelle. This is a picture of our son William's car which he purchased in 1996 with no motor or tranny and in need of restoration. He did not have the intent of having numbers matching original Chevelle; but, when he was done, he wanted to have a nice/clean street car that he could drive. It was going to be his show car replica. He was killed by a drunk driver and only had the frame work done. Dad decided to finish the car and go cruisin' with it. Five years after Billy was gone, Dad drove the car out of the garage and to the Syracuse Nationals and we have been crusin' all summer. It is a very special car to us and it was finished the same way it was started. No numbers match; but, it is a great cruise car. Our definition of a show car replica.
