Just a stone throw away … That’s where I found Rick Zozula, owner of RICHARD’S TRIMWORKS, around 5 years ago and 3 job interiors later. Rick got started in the auto upholstery business in 1977 with a part time job, while in high school, at a local shop that did mostly commercial upholstery. During that time Rick picked up
his skills quickly & jumped into it full time when he graduated from high school. Rick started doing custom work on the side to make a few extra dollars and at the same time became the operations manager at the company & supervised a staff of 12.
One of his first noted upholstery jobs was an original Batmobile from the 60's TV show. Rick’s love was doing hands on work & found that creating custom interiors was challenging & very rewarding than running the shop. In 2001 he started his own business working on car & boat interiors, custom boat covers, motorcycle seats & just about anything that came his way. Rick says “I found it difficult to say no to anyone who walked in the door. I basically am a one man operation with occasional help during spring & summer. I have my hands in every job that leaves here.” Despite a sluggish economy, business is good & remains consistent.
Ricks motto is Quality work at a fair price. “That's what keeps customers coming back and I thank the great customers who helped me get here”.
