Tour by Bob and Lynn Brace. Every once in a while Lynn and I (cruisinproducts.com) take a trip north to get away from it all. We had postponed this trip for a number of reasons several times. Finishing a 32 chassis for a customer, we headed north for Traverse City, Michigan, the cherry capital and home to numerous fine wineries. A couple of days earlier I thought of contacting Classic Instruments and picking up a set of gauges for the roadster build. I had talked with John McLeod at several shows this year about the 32 roadster build and he indicated he would be glad to be part of the project. We set aside one morning to make the short trip from Traverse City to Boyne City. |

Housed within the Great Lakes Motor Works complex ( a treat in itself) on M-75 South just out of town, Classic Instruments was awarded NSRA’S 2005 New Product Award for a complete self contained instrument panel designed by renowned automotive designer Tom Gale. Named the All American Package, this gem is sure to be on every gear heads Christmas list. Be sure to contact them for a catalog.
Besides the numerous lines of gauges they offer, Classic also provides unique one off creations for some of the premiere builders in the country. Classic has quite an array of gauge face blanks they can customize for your special project. As one of our tour guides indicated, the phrase "can't do " is not in their vocabulary.
