Classic Rods & More can now provide you with a proven MII IFS for your 1928-31 Ford Model A that will give you a low stance and maintain your wheels in the center of the front fenders. The IFS designed by Classic Rods & More has been produced and used for a number of years by one of the owners and MAINTAINS the stock MII geometry. It does NOT require the front fenders to have those ugly bubbles in order to clear the A-Arms. Front end alignment is achieved by using stock MII specifications.
The IFS is manufactured by Paul Horton's Welder Series (www.welderseries.com) in Ontario, Canada. Paul, a street rod building legend in Canada, a member of the Canadian Street Rodding Hall of Fame and past owner of Horton Street Rod Products, will offer the IFS crossmember as either a welded or unwelded kit. The kit will NOT require any additional manufacturing to install. Once the kit is assembled, just place the IFS crossmember on the front axle centerline, place the towers' reference mark on the same front axle centerline on the outside of the frame rails and weld in place. It’s that easy! See our installation video on YouTube to see for yourself. A complete “hub to hub” kit is offered by Classic Rods & More. The kit will be available using narrowed tubular A-Arms with stock coil springs or QA1 polished coilovers and 2” drop spindles, stock MII disc brakes or upgraded 11” disc brakes. Both the narrowed A-Arms and drop spindles will be required in order to achieve the proper stance and track width. Classic Rods & More will also offer everything you need to produce your complete frame as a kit for you to weld or a completed rolling frame ready for your body.
