I started this 1927 Tall "T" Coupe this fall and hope to have it at Back to the Fifties in Saint Paul next June. Have ordered the frame and will get that in January. Have sand Blasted car and started the bodywork. It will be an all Ford car with a 302, C4, and 9" rear end with 4-wheel disk brakes. Will send more photos as things are coming about. My father-in-law and I are building this car together, he is funding it and I am building it. He can't wait to drive it, he is just like a little kid again. It is great. Jon Anderson.
Thanks Jon, we look forward to getting more pictures as your build project progresses.
Here is a little different twist to the streetrodding sport. It's a 1937 Hudson Teraplane Coupe that I found about 2 years ago. The first picture is what it looked like when I got it and a lot of hours have gone into it since. It has the Mustang II front, Ford 9" rear with 3.55 posi gears, built Chevy 350 with a tunnel ram and dual 650 Holley carbs. The rear suspension is from a new GMC Sonoma pickup. The body has been all sandblasted inside and out, the top chopped 3 1/2" and the rear fenders and running boards molded to the body. Had to build a whole new floor and built in a console and the seats are formed into the rear shelf and console. My son (Jesse) and I have been doing all the work on the car and it has been a lot of fun. We still need to finish the hood, have glass installed and do the interior, but that is this winters project so it will be ready for the shows in the spring. We have driven it and it's a real smooth ride and handles real good. There is plenty of power so we can get to the shows quick. These are just a few shots I have of it in progress and have a lot more but this will give you an idea of what we are doing with it. Jon Anderson!
Jon forgot to send us the update on his car in 2004 but has now sent us some more pictures of it and it is a beauty! Take a look at it now! |

Forgot to up date my photos of my car, got the car on the road and have been having so much fun, forgot to send you photos. I got the interior done in leather, painted ghost flames on the fenders, and got the glass installed in the spring of 2004. Took it to my first show shortly after that and won Best of Show. Have been having fun with it ever since. Put 6500 miles on it the first summer. I have started another project and will send phots of that also. It is a 1927 Tall "T" Coupe.
Jon and his son, Jesse, have done a lot of work and it shows! This is it! Thanks Jon for sending us your pics to share! We look forward to getting more pics of your other projects! |
