I've been building this 1948 Chevy for 5 years. Finally got it on the road in October. The only part that is 1948 is the Body, rear glass and the frame, from the firewall back. The car has a 71 Nova front clip, 350 crate engine, 71 Camaro front bumper. No junk yard parts in this car, except for the 94 Ford probe seats. I 've done all the modification myself, welding fabrications, planning and painting - The only work that I did not do, was sewing of the seat covers and headliner and door panels. I got it on the road with the new paint on the third week of October 2008. First time my wife of 25 years rode in it was October-22-2008, on our 25th anniversary. We went out cruising for 3 hours and enjoyed everything. Roy Heath from Asheville, NC |
