Thomas McGinnity found this old photo of his and memorabilia and thought we might enjoy hearing of his adventures at Woodstock......
We would make yearly trips to Woodstock NY, with this trip taken in 1967 in my 1929 Ford "Model A" Tudor sedan with a '65 Mustang drive train. (That's Phil Viola and me pictured with the '29 on Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY)
In 1969 we went to the Aquaria Exposition in White Lake, NY with a woman 7 months pregnant, and several other gals and guys. With so many people trying to get to Max Yasgar's farm, the State Troppers closed the Thruway leading to the festival and concert.
One of the girls had a residence pass to her parents house on White Lake, which the Troppers accepted. We made it to the house and took a boat to the other side of White Lake, within a mile or so of the site where the road was blocked with cars and people. We all walked in with the thousands of other kids. Never used the tickets as with so many people the promoters opened the affair as a free festival and concert.
Shot 6 rolls of 36 exposure Kodak Kodachrome color film over the weekend of music and fun. Thomas Mc Ginnity
