Courtney Hansen launches Iola’s Camaro Theme
By noderel:
The 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird will set the theme for the 45th annual Iola Car Show to be held July 6-8, 2017. TV star Courtney Hansen was on hand at the 44th show to reveal the theme and introduce one of the 2017 poster cars—a yellow ’67 Camaro coupe.
Hansen-who appeared on the automotive TV shows “Powerblock,” “PowerNation,” and “Overhaulin’”-was at the 2016 Iola Car Show on Thursday July 7 to sign autographs and make personal appearances.
Hansen said that she enjoyed attending the Wisconsin show, since she grew up in Minnesota where her dad Jerry Hansen competed in Sports Car Club of America racing and once owned Brainerd International Raceway.
According to Hansen, the 2017 Iola Car Show will focus on all pony cars by honoring the “Cars of Trans-Am Racing,” in addition to all Camaros and Firebirds. Some of the cars that competed in the Trans-Am series include the Boss 302 Mustang, the Camaro Z28, the Firebird Trans Am, the Mercury Cougar Eliminator 302, the AAR ‘Cuda, the Dodge Challenger T/A and the AMC Javelin.
Hansen explained that owners of such cars can register a 2017 theme vehicle by calling the Iola Car Show office at (715) 445-4000 or by emailing [email protected]. They can also go directly to the show’s Website at www.iolaoldcarsshow.com.
