The gentleman in Boise Idaho bought the 1934 Ford all steel 3 window Deluxe coupe in 1955, built it in 1958-60 the first time. The very interested cool part is he bought a wrecked 1957 Chrysler 392 Hemi with 2 x 4 engine, transmission & Rear end from 300C car and installed it in the coupe.
It has all Oxy-acetylene welds on the hood blisters and Body. Correct for the time period. It has no park in the transmission, only E-brake. Type writer dash shifter unit from the 300c also. I have a picture from 1958-60 in front of the Broadway Market on a dirt road in Boise Idaho 1958-60 era. The family said it was a daily driver for years, pulling a 20-22 ChrisCraft boat to the surrounding lakes in Boise. Still has trailer hitch. The family is looking for pictures of that story.
I bought the car and the paint seems to be period correct 1960 Lincoln premier color that my Grandfather owned. The family said that he and his son updated a few things in 1984-86, tru-spoke wire wheels and Toyo tires which are date coded for 86. Sanderson headers, front disc brakes and Wieand 2x4 intake with Carter afb’s. I think this is an awesome important piece of hot-rod history! I have Idaho safety inspection sheets and registration documents from early 70’s thru the early 80’s, still has his car club plaque from Gear Jammers Boise on it.
My older gentleman car friends told me not to touch Nothing! It’s a true time capsule and a piece of early hot rod history. The car has no boxing plates, original 34 Radiator, runs fine, sounds Awesome. Still has factory generator etc. very crazy find with 201 miles since 1986! I been driving it on Sunoco 112 leaded gas.
