As I was looking for a unique COE cab over engine cab to build a cool hot rod/chopper hauler I received a call from a friend of mine telling me of an old Dodge Cab-Over in a barn. I started doing some investigating and found out it was owned (and purchased new in 1947) by a friend of my family and was taken out of service by the family farm in 1979 and put inside one of their barns. Needles to say I worked with them to buy it and would keep it original. It is a one owner 1947 Dodge WFMA 38 COE with a tilt bed 32,000 original miles. My search continues for a unique (Studebaker/Dodge/ International/ White etc) cab I can put on a late model chassis to build a car hauler out of. In the mean time I am going to restore the original mechanics on my 1947 Dodge and use for parades and car and farm shows.
