The museum features not only many generations of Swamp Rat Top Fuel dragsters, but also some of the race cars from the top competitors throughout Don Garlits’ incredible racing career. A large area of the race car building is dedicated to engine displays with lots of nostalgic speed equipment. A second building on the grounds displays dozens of early hot rods and restored automobiles and explains their connection to Don Garlits. Many of the race car displays include mannequins dressed in drivers’ fire suits and helmets of their corresponding era, pit equipment, and audio-visual presentations that bring the past to life.
