Though it did sprinkle a bit in the early afternoon, by an hour before show time, the skies had cleared, and the weather was perfect for the first of the 5 Metuchen NJ Downtown Cruise Nights. Unfortunately the earlier sprinkles may have caused the rather low turnout of vehicles for this Cruise Night, but while the turnout was light, the energy was high, and all had an enjoyable night. Among the crowd present at this first Cruise Night of the season, was a Tesla. The car is quite impressive, though also quite expensive, and if Tesla can get the price down on their cars, with ones like the example at this Cruise Night, the company may well do quite well with their product. At around 8:30 the Trophy winners were called, and the Cruise Night came to end. Hopefully with more favorable weather, participant turnout will be higher for the June 3, 2015 Cruise Night.
