Though officially cancelled, at least a dozen or so vehicle owners still showed up for the Thursday Night Cruise Night at the Rt 1 South Edison NJ Home Depot. Unfortunately those of us who did show up tonight for the Cruise Night, hadn’t gotten the word that due to Parking Lot repaving in one part of the Home Depot Parking Lot, the event was put on hold. So, what happened, was those who came to the site of the usual gathering, stayed, and we had a mini Cruise Night, reminiscent of what Cruise Nights used to be like some 30 years ago.

For those of us who’ve been around long enough to have attended these events so many years ago, tonight was what we remembered a Cruise Night being like, no Trophies, no music, just a bunch of car people getting together somewhere, showing off our rides to one another, and shooting the breeze. Surprisingly, we had a good time years ago at those simple events, and those in attendance at tonight’s impromptu Cruise Night, had a good time, just as we did way back when.

I suppose you could say of the hardcore automotive enthusiasts, that while we can enjoy what Cruise Nights are today, can still go back to what was, and have fun.
