Today was day two of the Car Show at Raceway Park, and unlike day one, the turnout was sparse, with maybe 60 cars in attendance at the show’s peak. In defense of the show, it was up against a “rain date” show not even five miles away, another show barely 10 miles away and a show in southern New Jersey that siphoned off South Jersey participants.
The weather was good though, and the cloud cover kept things comfortable – at least until 2:00 p.m., when the sun came out full force and things got a bit sticky.
Fortunately, the awards were called just around 2:00 p.m., and once again, this time with my 1960 Plymouth, I won another award.
I, and most of the participants, left shortly after the awards were given out. One can only hope, on whatever date the Fall Show is to be held, that there won’t be other shows within sneezing distance of Raceway Park on the same day, and then possibly the participant turnout will be better.
