On the way home Sunday, we came up on this wreck just after it happened. As we eased by, I noticed it was starting to flame-up (not painted either!) under the passenger side. I had just gotten my new Safety 23 inspection in Knoxville (which requires a fire extinguisher) so we pulled off to the side and I used mine to put out the flames. Fortunately this guy was traveling by himself so no one was hurt in the passenger's seat. He wasn't injured either but was all shook up - hey, maybe Elvis was traveling with him!!! I know, I know... bad joke... Anyway, this is a good example of how handy fire extinguishers can be - not only for yourself, but for others too. If you guys haven't gotten your street rods safety inspected, please consider doing so - it never hurts to have another set of eyes look at your car!
