June 27, 2008 The Athens Travelers held their 50's Cruz-In on 6/21/2008 in Historic Downtown Athens, Tennessee. 200+ cars were there to view, as well as a 50's Dress Contest, Cake Walk along with 50's & 60's music played by Brent Womac & the Allstarz Band featuring Bill Passmore, rocking the courthouse square all evening long. June 13, 2008 The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum puts on a monthly Twilight cruise for vehicles built pre-1970. The cruise is held on the first Wednesday of the month, from April through December, with the exception of September, when the Los Angeles County Fair is going on. Then the cruise is held on the first and last Wednesday in August. The Sponsor of the Museum is the Auto Club of Southern California and this fine organization has been supporting car groups and racing for over a century, as well as auto safety and road assistance. June 13, 2008 On Sunday, June 08, 2008 the Road Kings of Burbank (California) hosted their 19th Annual Picnic In the Park at Johnny Carson Park, across the street from NBC Studios. This is a free show, but participants usually donate $30 as all monies raised by the car club benefit the high school auto shop programs, community-based help organizations and other recognized charities. June 12, 2008 This years JuneBug aircooled show ended up being smaller due to the weather. Move in time was at 9 am and the rain ended at about 8:30 am. The roads were very wet and the threat of more rain kept some of the folks from coming out and putting their cars on display but, it didn`t rain another drop the whole day. May 13, 2008 New Zealand’s No 1 Nostalgia Festival was set to be a boomer from the start with over 1300 Hot Rods and Classic Cars pre-registered for the 5 day event. Things kicked off on Wednesday the 30th of April with a 30km cruise to Pauanui for the Kicker Beach Party. 200 cars parked right on the grass next to the sand dunes with the Pacific Ocean in the back ground. May 2, 2008 Dream Machines is a show with 2000 driving, flying, and working machines. Music, airplane and helicopter rides, and some great old WWII planes can be found there. May 1, 2008 My friend Perry Ashworth went on a rod run to Austin, Nevada last week and sent me pictures. Now many of you are going to say That I have never heard of Austin, Nevada. Well, it is a small almost forgotten mining town of maybe 300 people on the old Lincoln Highway. This was the way west before the big new interstate came through farther North.
