Hi Everyone, Well we are back home in Australia after our trip to the U.S. We had a great time traveling with our friends Russell and Jules. We drove from L.A. to Las Vegas and stayed a couple of days and while there went and saw the Jersey Boys Show which was fantastic. After Las Vegas we drove through Death Valley and Yosemite National Park's before arriving at Sacramento for the NSRA Golden State Nationals. We bought a 60 Chevy Coupe from the Nationals, which was a good thing as the girls filled the boot up with their shopping. We left the car in Sacramento with the guy we bought it from and flew over to Florida to visit Janelle's brother Alan and his wife Rose. The following weekend we had a boys weekend (leaving the girls at home to do more shopping) heading up to Tampa for the NSRA South East Nationals where again we saw plenty of great cars and got to catch up with some people we had met on previous trips to Florida car shows. The following Wednesday we drove from Cape Coral, Florida to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Good Guy Nostalgia drags and car show at the Beech Bend Raceway. We stayed at Steve's a friend of Alan's house in Bowling Green, what a great time we had. The Show and Drags were fantastic, it is such a beautiful place and the people are so friendly, you've got to love those accents. While we were there we caught up with Jack Robert’s. He took me for a drive in his Pro Street 69 Camaro with a blown big block WOW does it haul ass, it was fabulous. We also met up with Chad from Adams Hot Rod Shop in Rydal, Georgia (we met him 2 years ago at the Hot Rod Nationals in Louisville). A friend of mine here in Australia bought a couple of 32 Fords from them. They had a couple of 32 Ford Roadsters at Beech Bend so they told Russell & myself to take them for a drive around, and of course we couldn't say no, so that was pretty cool. It is really sad that Good Guys aren't holding the event next year as it was terrific and I'm sure it will be missed by lots of car enthusiast. From there we drove down to Nashville and said our goodbyes to Alan and Rose who had looked after us so well and made us feel at home. We then flew over to San Francisco where we picked up the 60 Chevy and headed down the coast road to L.A. stopping off at Hearst Castle, did a tour, stayed the night in Morro Bay and then headed to Sam and Carole Flowers in Ojai CA. They are really great people who always make us feel welcome in their home. Sam told us about a car show at Moorepark on the following Sunday so Russell and myself made the trip from Santa Ana to Moorepark, it was really worth the trip with lots of really good cars. We also got to catch up with some of Sam's friends that we had met in Pleasanton a couple of years ago. The highlight was going car shows and cruise nights in our own car. Our 60 Chevy is now headed for Australia to do some cruising here. So hope you enjoy the photos from the car shows that we attended. Bruce and Janelle
