Description:
This 1969 Buick Riviera has a radiant style, unique details, a loaded interior, and an all-around well-presented style. So you are already in love with this classic before we remind you of the big V8 power under the hood that lets you cruise with comfort and authority.
The 1969 coupe was a great design that has the best of the iconic series. It kept familiar cues from the iconic first generation, including stylish headlights and a sporty rear fender kick-up in the profile. But the sharply pointed style of these 2nd gen hardtops laid the groundwork for the boat tail 3rd gen. And providing a bridge between two distinct designs, this is especially an impressive icon all on its own. That's why we're happy to see it looking so distinguished. It has a nice maroon/copper paint that has a smooth finish and a nice metallic glow. Adding to this shine are mirror-like chrome bumpers that hug the form as an integral part of the design. And everything from the glass to the Rally wheels has the look of well-kept quality.
We love a hardtop with a premium vinyl roof, and it feels even more thoughtful when the top is also coordinated with the interior color. The style is quite clean and complete. So you can enjoy details like the vintage seatback trim, wood-like veneering, and full dome light package. There are well-integrated upgrades, like how the AM/FM/CD stereo is below the dash so the factory unit can still be on display. And the air conditioning now utilizes modern R134a refrigerant (the blower will need servicing to blow cold again.) It's these additions that make for an even better cruiser, but this Riviera was already doing quite fine on its own from day one. You have comfortable factory items like bucket seats, a center console, and a steering wheel on a tilt column. And the unique shifter is one of the most impressive we've seen in a while. Plus, the power windows let you take down all the glass on this pillarless hardtop without ever leaving the driver's seat.
Buick's 430 cubic-inch V8 debuted for this generation Riviera, and it became legendary for its massive torque. And since this is such an important powerhouse, it's great to see the engine bay looking so stock and tidy. And while the big red motor grabs your attention, there are also details like the Flamethrower distributor and Taylor wires that tell you this has been under the proper maintenance. The V8 fires up readily and it's eager to hit the road. While you certainly have plenty of power, this Riviera can also cruise like a proper Buick. That's why you have a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and modern touring tires.
The sale comes with nice extras like the original window sticker, sales literature, and a service manual. This is the best of classic Buick style, and it's ready to hit the road. Call today!!!
