Description:
With its fuel-injected V8 power, 4x4 prowess, cold-blowing A/C, full convertible appeal, and a long list of off-road upgrades, this 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer has been given the right investments for those who demand their classics have the distinction of being truly useful.
The paint is quite right for this 4x4. The bright white with a black hardtop gives this one an instant and timeless appeal. The black trim on the lower body and tailgate adds to the well-coordinated style. But this Blazer spent years with an off-road repair/restoration shop owner. It was the company's pet project, so they ensured the focus was on a proper off-roader. That also means a level of fit and finish that is more about being useful than glamorous. After all, with the features you'll see in the full package, you'll know this Blazer was made to be enjoyed to the fullest. So while the chrome of the bumpers may get you noticed at stoplights, that beefy stance tells this Blazer's story.
The color theme switches for the inside, where you have a clean black style and a nice bright white for accents. There have been the right off-road-style upgrades like the proper roll cage and a full Corbeau seat package with a Baja-style bench in the rear and Moab high-back buckets up front. The driver gets a fully upgraded setup with a sport steering wheel, an Ididit tilt column, and a full Dakota Digital VHX gauge package with a handy tach. They took the time to add more sound-deadening materials and a fuller interior than the factory. It makes for a nicer cruiser, but you must work harder to unbolt the hardtop for a full convertible style. You can feel that the idea of this one is not to be a coddler, but they also took the time to add the kind of features everyone wants when upgrading any classic. This includes a retro-style AM/FM radio with Bluetooth, a lockbox center console with cup holders and cold-blowing air conditioning. And the touchscreen EFI controller lets you know there's something special under the hood.
Chevy's famous 350 cubic-inch V8 looks good in the engine bay. This is a crate motor that was refreshed for better power and hardiness. This includes Edelbrock aluminum heads, an Edelbrock intake, an upgraded camshaft, and new seals. It's topped with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system for the best performance and consistency. You also have suitable supporting components, like an aluminum radiator, electric fan, newer lines, and a restored fuel tank with a Holley fuel pump. It's a hardy powerhouse; as you look underneath, you can see it's part of an overall rugged 4x4 package. It includes new components like the U-joints, KYB shocks, and front driveshaft. The two-speed transfer case and deep treads on the BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires make for easy off-road work. The four-speed manual transmission with a new clutch gives you terrific control, whether you need low-end torque with the granny-style first gear or want better control on the streets. The power steering with a new steering box, power brakes, front discs with new calipers, and recently rebuilt rear drums make this 4x4 a confident in-town cruiser, too.
There is a long list of newer components from the restoration shop, and there are even restoration photos, so call for all the details. But you already know this is the cool and confident 4x4 classic you've always wanted. Call now!
