Description:
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is a restomod with a ton of upgraded features that includes a fuel-injected modern LT1 powerhouse, an overdrive transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, an upgraded suspension, and cold-bowing air conditioning. So it's a ton of modern power and amenities wrapped around a truly iconic drop-top.
Camaros look cool in Ermine White, especially when given a later respray. You can see that nicely here where you have a driver-ready car that also has an attention-grabbing luster ideal for a sunshine-friendly convertible. The whole presentation looks thoughtful with bright bumpers, complete trim, clean glass, and good panel alignment. This is a true restomod, and it boldly announces this with the 20-inch Forgiato wheels that give this a cool stance and modern sports car tires. Those alloys kick off a dark side that goes with the dark grille, painted D91 sports stripe, chin spoiler, and full-length pinstripe. And while most convertibles look best with the top down, we can't help but be attracted to the way the clean black convertible roof goes well with the other black components to give a two-tone kind of appeal.
The black interior is the factory-correct color, but they upgraded t to a deluxe style for a very good reason. This added a white streak to the seats in 1967, and so it makes for an especially well-coordinated look with the exterior. So we bet you'll proudly cruise with the top down. Plus, the investment in fundamentals like the carpeting, dash pad, and deluxe door panels give an overall quality feel. We also like that they kept the AM radio on display for a touch of vintage, but we also understand if you want to add a modern unit in such a cruiser-ready restomod. This was made to be a true driver's car, and so you have nice factory-style features like the center console, floor shifter, and auxiliary readouts. But it's also especially nice to have upgrades like the Dakota digital gauges, a tilt column, and a Forgiato steering wheel that coordinates with the exterior alloys.
The engine bay loves to show off more of the thoughtful custom style. The dark inner walls and components are accented by white motor covers to fit with the color theme seen inside and out. So you just know you'll love lifting the hood wherever you park. Of course, the other reason to showcase the powerhouse is because it's a 6.2-liter LT1 motor. And there just seems to be something quite cool about being about to say you have a first-year Camaro with a powerhouse offered in brand-new Camaros today. The upgrade was correctly installed with the right supporting features, like an aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, and an upgraded pulley system. Plus, a set of long tube headers enhance the performance while also adding to the rumble of the dual exhaust. The 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission means a stout construction for big power and easy overdrive comfort in one package. And the suspension also received solid investment to make sure the driving experience feels completely upgraded. You have a QA1 upper/lower front control arms, a Ridetech four-link rear, and coilovers all around. There's also power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes with Wilwood calipers, and the grip of ZR-rated performance tires.
