The Corvair is really finding their popularity today as we respect how GM gave us a European-like machine in a true American package. And this 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza has been restored to uphold that legacy quite well. It gives you a sporty style and cool color combo like an import, but it also has some terrific upgrades - including A/C and a Bluetooth radio - to make it a great cruiser for the wide-open highway.

This is the debut year of the second generation Corvair. They were more aggressive with a front that has a sharper point and a more intimidating overhang. The rear has a quad taillight package that looks like what the Plymouth 'Cuda would copy a few years later. So when it has this kind of sporty style, it seems only fitting to be born an Ermine White car... after all, that was also the color of the first Corvettes. But we also talk about a European level of style. That comes from the level of investment to make sure the paint looks great and has a sophisticated luster. And the coordinating white convertible top has a clean and coordinating style that's more Bentley than Chevy. Bright chrome bumper, Chevy bow tie wire wheel covers, beautiful headlight bezels, and all the correct trim (inducing the important Monza fender badges) make for quite an attractive classic.

The white convertible top is exceptionally attractive, but a black interior is as timelessly chic as formalwear. So it's great you can choose between the two styles by just folding up/down the roof. The door panels, carpet, seats, and dash pad have the deep and dark look of a quality investment. This has plenty of great classic details, like the thin/grippy steering wheel, round gauge package, and automatic transmission shift lever mounted on the dash. But what is most impressive are all the well-paced upgrades. For example, this Monza has bucket seats and this one now has an added cup holder center console. There are more worthwhile upgrades, like auxiliary readouts w/tach, brighter courtesy lights, and an AM/FM radio with Bluetooth for the best in modern driving music. And there's always a premium appeal to a convertible with cold-blowing R12a air conditioning (the new compressor is R12 or R134a compatible, but currently running off of R12).

The 164 cubic-inch flat-six is mounted in the rear. There is a clean look of quality here, and this includes new seals, gaskets, and an alternator within the last few years. And the dual carburetors were also rebuilt. The motor has a low center of gravity, and it's smartly packaged over the rear driving wheels. So while these Corvairs had some of the same muscle car appearance as other Chevys were getting in the 1960s, this one has the size, engineering, and nimbleness of cars like Porsches and Fiats. Plus, these later Corvairs had the Corvette-inspired fully independent rear suspension, larger brakes, and a front stabilizer bar. And the new modern cruising tires make for an all-around attractive driving package.

Complete with maintenance records, this Corvair impresses you with its classic style and great upgrades. And when the price is so affordable, you know you're going to need to hurry on this drop-top. Call today!!!
