This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette takes the classic you love and adds some cool details to create a car that's both unique and powerful. Best of all, you get it for a value price.
There is something that immediately catches your eye on this car. Corvette fans know that 1971 was still in the chrome front end years, but this one was updated to the later color-matched style. The front fenders were updated, too. This retains the chrome rear, and so it's similar to the '73 car's exclusive style. Except there are still classic details, like the Corvette badge leading the way. It makes for a nice talking piece that doesn't stray from the full Stingray family line. After all, everyone loves a Corvette finished in red. And this also will always have the best C3 pieces, like the long and pointed front end, beautifully formed fenders, and rear styling that has both flying buttresses and an integrated rear spoiler.
The black interior looks good against the red. It's a driver-oriented environment with bucket seats, center console, and a grippy sport steering wheel. There are good features like power windows, an upgraded Kenwood AM/FM/cassette radio, and provisions for factory air conditioning (will need servicing to blow cold again.) The T-tops come out, and this was one of the last years for the removable rear window that gives you a convertible-like breeze through the interior. Don't forget that Chevy's 1973 update eliminated the removable rear window. So you have a unique situation where this one looks like the '73 with the color-matched front end, but you still get the full wind-in-your-hair experience whenever you want.
Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch V8 that's a confirmed year-correct Corvette block. It has been given some added investment in flair with the bright air grabber and attractive valve covers with cursive Corvette script. But really, the best money spent was on added performance. This has a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and headers feeding the stainless dual exhaust. The motor starts eagerly, idles nicely, and runs well. Plus, the TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit that also shifts smoothly. And the power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and the fully independent sports suspension make it easy to enjoy this Corvette to the fullest.
Complete with owner's manual, this is a bright red Stingray with a unique style and an attractive price. So you know it's a classic that won't stay here long. Call now!
