Car has less than 1,200 miles from completion. My 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS is a 396 Cu. In. 325 H.P. spent the majority of its life in California in Storage. I bought the car in Garden Grove California where it was stored for 12 years note it was a running and complete car when I bought it, and I bought it in the year 2000, in which I put it in storage until I retired and started to restore the car which was finally complete about 2 years ago. Car was manufactured in Los Angeles California, car was very solid body and frame when I bought it.
Drive train is a 396 Cu. In. 325 H.P with a Muncie 4 speed with upgraded electronic ignition, rear end has 336 gears great for highway driving. Engine compartment is restored to original except for the Sanderson Headers which include the 3 inch stainless steel Borla exhaust. The air cleaner is the original that came with the car has also been powder coated with decals. Car has disc brakes in front with new sway bars and shocks. An aluminum radiator has been installed. Not the hose clamps and battery clamps are of original type. Car also has power brakes and power steering. Core support and fender wells, engine pulleys and brackets are also powder coated. New gas tank and mounting straps are also new.
Color of the exterior is Cypress Green. All Chrome has been redone along with the front grill and exterior stainless has been polished or re-dipped
Interior is black and restored as it came from the factory. Center console is original paint was redone but chrome was never redone and is in excellent condition. Steering wheel is original. Speedometer and Bezel was restored. After market gauges were installed to monitor new engine, all internal parts on the engine are all new with the proper machining that was required during the build.
Car has been lowered 2 inches, suspension has 2 inch dropped spindles, 2 inch lowered coils front and rear and shocks with new sway bars.
Wheels are Vintage 5 spoke wheels, Rear are 10 inch with Good Year P265/60 R17, Front are 9 inch with Good Year P225/50 R17.
