Description:
1928 Ford Roadster Pickup street rod with a Ford 289 cubic inch V/8 engine and an automatic C4 transmission. It has a heavily chromed Jaguar independent rear suspension, a chromed straight kingpin front axle, four- wheel disc brakes, orange lacquer paint with blue accents and a real steel body with the exception of fiberglass fenders, all mounted on a custom boxed and tubed chassis. The interior is all custom with the upholstery finished in tan leather with a matching covered billet style etched steering wheel attached to a late model GMC tilt steering column. The carpeting is German manufactured and the dash, trim and gauges are accented with solid wood. There is full AutoMeter instrumentation and a Panasonic AM/FM CD stereo. A billet drink holder sits below the dash along with a billet style brake handle, rear view mirror, pedals, gas linkage, and machined aluminum knobs and controls. The engine has coated headers, a Holley Steel Dominator intake manifold with an Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor, Ford Motorsports valve covers, and MSD distributor, electronic ignition, an electric fan and an electronic kill switch. Two five-gallon fuel tanks are mounted underneath the bed between the frame rails. The wheels are Bob Drakes with beauty rings and caps. The front wheels are 14" x 6" with FT 1556R14 tires and the rear wheels are 15" x 8" with SF 407 steel 255/70HR 15 tires. The truck has chrome running boards, radiator grille surround, light bar, windshield brace and stock appearing front bumper. There are also many chromed parts and accessories on the chassis such as axle shafts, springs, axles and shock absorbers. The truck is an exceptional older build which looks and runs exceptionally well and reliably. It is in excellent condition in all categories. The desired price is $ 48,000 but all close reasonable offers will be strongly considered. Please contact Rick for further information or to arrange for a time to inspect the vehicle. If it is posted, it is still available.
