This 1954 Ford Customline was upgraded with the right pieces, including a cool paint package, V8 power, adjustable rear air ride, and true cruiser features. So dig into the details of an all-around distinctive classic that was built to be enjoyed to the fullest.
The glossy kiwi-like green with a tan roof is the kind of cool combo that makes you love a proper 1950s machine. But you can tell from the pictures the two-tone is just a foundation for a full custom paint package. The green is used as a canvas for the silver metallic side stripe package. The blue pinstripes not only defines these graphics, but the same blue was also used to create the hand-painted pinstripe art on the trunk. And we love how the green stripes on the tan highlight the roof profile and unite the full color theme. Deleted trim, shaved door handles, and REAL lake pipes are all part of street machine custom. And we love how the rear suspension is on an adjustable air red control so that you can dial-in a lowrider stance on demand. There are also good classic details, like shining chrome on the bumpers, a wraparound grille, and rear fender skirts. And the headlights basically looked Frenched directly from the factory in 1954. As you look through the full package inside and out, you get the impression of a vehicle that likes to be a driver rather than a museum piece. It gives this kind of feeling in the details, like the modern tread hiding behind the whitewall style in the tires.
The interior has a classic style and good upgrades. You have two wide bench seats done in a comfy cloth. And the coordinating black carpeting, headliner, and dash have the clean look of a driver's car. Plus, you have an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input that lets you plug in your phone and listen to your ideal cruising music. We like that they kept classic features like the machine-turned dash and the plexiglass "window" speedometer. And that's supplemented by nice driver-oriented upgrades like the sports steering wheel, a polished tilt column, integrated auxiliary readouts, and a Lokar floor shifter.
While Ford Y-block V8s were nice to have back in the day, this one gets an extra kick of power from a larger and younger 302 cubic-inch V8. It's built with the right pieces, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performer 289 intake, and headers. There are nice supporting components like an HEI distributor, newer wires, and an aluminum radiator with electric fan. The V8 is mated to a C4 three-speed automatic transmission for easy driving. This still likes to give you the old-school kind of cruiser feeling for the road, and that's what makes it a nice classic. After all, when you open up the lake pipes, there's a terrific rumble that turns back the clock to when The Boulevard means something.
This is the true classic Ford that has been given plenty of the right investment for a true classic cruiser style. So if you love an individual style that's built for enjoying, call today!!!
