Description:
Have you noticed the side stripes on this 1969 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 CSS? The text takes up almost half of the side! But this car earns its unique designation here (and everywhere else, too) because this is distinctly restored to be an official continuation model. What does that mean? Shelby American specifically blessed Legendary GT to properly re-create the Shelby Mustang experience. But since Carroll Shelby was also about power and progress, this one has been upgraded with a leather-lined custom interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and an awesome supercharged powerhouse.
We love Ford's bold grabber colors, and Grabber Orange is arguably the boldest of them all. It makes sure people take notice of this coupe, and this deserves all the extra attention it commands. Legendary GT takes a classic pony car and gives it a full restoration/transformation. There's a deep respect for what Carroll and Ford did. It's why these are officially sanctioned and also why they look so authentic. So this coupe has the unique front end's deeply recessed style that looks like it's ready to consume every lesser car out there. The full-length black stripe package gives it the unmistakable appearance of a true American racer. The integrated spoiler, rear window louvers, and center exhaust meant everyone you pass gets to see some swagger. Of course, this car was built to be cool - literally - with three NACA ducts on the hood, two hood heat extractors, and inlets to rush air over every single wheel/brake. The restoration was thorough, right down to the coiled snake in the grille, hood twist locks, and the unmistakable SHELBY in block letters out back. What is interesting is the level of authenticity that Legendary GT has put into the build. Everything from the look of the sequential tail lights to the slightly off fit of the hood gives the impression of a factory car. So the presentation is not just trying to appeal to casual enthusiasts. Its goal is to be a true continuation, and so you're going to get a lot of respect from the knowledgeable guys, too.
While the exterior is quite faithful to the original, the interior makes sure to deliver modern luxury. After all, the Shelby cars were premium machines in 1969, and so this one takes the theme into a new era. It's a full custom setup that takes the exterior's color theme and flips it to deliver a tasteful black with bold orange accents. The front seats are modern buckets with terrific bolstering supple leather, and contrast stitching that includes Carroll Shelby's signature. The rear seat, custom center console, door panels, dash, and carpeting are all done to coordinate. There are nice amenities like air conditioning, power windows, an Ididit tilt steering column, tinted glass, and a full infotainment system with an AM/FM stereo and Bluetooth. They also level the right classic touches in place, like the fold-down rear seat, the clock above the glovebox, and the front shoulder harnesses mounted to the roll bar.
The moment you pop the hood you can see the serious investment in this car's power. That shiny Paxton supercharger looks great, and more importantly, it gives this Boss 302 V8 a serious boost in power. And that's not the only upgrade. There are terrific features like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Mallory ignition, and a large aluminum radiator to help keep the full package running cool. So you know the moment you rev the motor where the dual exhaust gives a rumble and the supercharger produces its whirl, it will be a truly awesome experience that you and everyone within earshot won't forget. This is mated to a modified three-speed automatic transmission on its way to a stout Ford 9-inch rear end. You're going to want to have complete control in a total power package like this. That's why it has been upgraded to power rack & pinion steering, subframe connectors, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
This GT350 has a unique story to tell, and so it has the full upgrade list from Legendary GT as well as a certificate of authenticity. This is the fresh, powerful, comfortable, unique, and all-around awesome snake-bitten pony car. So if you want the best of everything, you need this CSS supercharged Shelby. Call today!!!
