Description:
You are viewing a 1932 Ford Roadster. This 32 is known as Striking Gold. Google Striking Gold 1932 Ford for more published info. 1932 Titled as a 1932 Ford with clean Florida Title. A California built Street Rod by builder Art Engle. The Build, Components, Paint, Interior and most important, the way it Drives and Handles. Overall, show quality and a very high end build.
The body is a Harwood 2” stretched body and 2” (angle) channel at windshield. In my opinion, the Harwood ‘32 is the Cadillac of fiberglass deuce bodies. Harwood has stopped manufacturing these and they are getting harder and harder to find. These bodies are stamp steel reinforced and have fantastic door and deck lid alignments. They also used Kevlar in their body construction. I am 6 foot 1 and have plenty of room. Paint used is a House of Kolor Solar Gold Metallic.
Going hoodless lets the Deuce show off the engine-turned aluminum firewall panel and the detailed 1964 Chevy 283 sitting in front of it. Victory Machine in San Jose machined and assembled the 1964 283 long-block. A Winters "snowflake" aluminum intake from an early Corvette is topped with dual Edelbrock 4V carbs. Cutouts from the chrome Lakester Headers direct the exhaust down to 2-1/2-inch nickel-plated pipes, with Magna Flow mufflers sweetening the exhaust note. Starts right up every time and the Isky Cam sounds unbelievable!
Chrome-plated 15″ Rocket Striker wheels are wrapped in 215/70/15 front and 255/R70/15 rear BF Goodrich Silvertown Radials with 4″ whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by 11″ Wilwood disc brakes up front and 11" Ford drums in the rear. The suspension features a 4 inch drop I beam ,37 Ford Spindles, a split wishbone, a So-Cal Speedshop front leaf Spring and Pete and Jakes adjustable rear coil overs. This quality carries over to the inside . Bone-White Diamond Tuck Vinyl with Gold piping on the bench seat. This period style design looks amazing!!!Stewart Warner gauged and a Dixco Period correct tach mounted on Column. The removable top is a Sid Chavers Bop Top. finished in a stunning pearl white. This 32 has won many first place car shows and was featured in Street Rodder Magazine May 2014. A brand new magazine comes with the car. This 32 is a fantastic driving Street Rod. VERY Dependable!!! I want to add the pictures do not show the stunning Metallic Paint job. Come see and drive this 32 if possible.
