This 1971 GMC C2500 restomod is the ultimate mix of style and substance in one truck. It has fuel-injected 502ci big block power, an overdrive transmission, an HD-style long bed, a custom/comfy A/C interior, and an awesomely bright style everywhere.
We're told this was done by the famous builder Norm Francis Street Rods, and with less than 7,800 miles on the total build, you can really see the professional quality. This one has a shine that instantly announces it as a premium classic pickup. The chrome front bumper and distinct GMC grille put forward one of the most radiant faces around. The body lines and sheet metal have a quality style that you'll be happy it's a long bed model just to get more space to show off how straight everything is. And the paint has an awesome style. The silver has plenty of metallic to make sure it radiates on every sunny Sunday drive. Plus, the color was the right choice because it has a timelessly attractive style, and so it bridges the worlds of vintage and modern that you'll see throughout this truck. That theme continues with the way this is updated to be sleeker with deleted badging and an aerodynamic tonneau over the bed. But it still keeps the classic premium side trim that looks tasteful while also helping to highlight how straight the panels are. Nice-looking Budnik 17-inch wheels, a bright chrome rear step bumper, and large polished dual exhaust tips all add to this bright and upgraded style, too.
The interior is a full custom upgrade that keeps the exterior's silver/gray theme going. It starts with a plush two-tone bench seat with a fold-down center console for a more individual-style room. And details like the door panels and carpet piping were done to match. The smooth dash pad, plush carpeting, protective floor mats, and a taut headliner are all about making this feel premium and inviting. This has all the best features, like cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, sliding rear glass, and a fully carpeted bed that acts like a huge trunk. And it has a commanding driving position with a tilt steering column and crisp/clean Classic Instruments gauges. And we especially like how the design of the Budnik steering wheel coordinates with the exterior alloys. It's a nice touch to show this is a thoughtful build.
The engine bay continues the truck's thoughtful presentation. The smooth inner walls and tidy well-tucked style put the big block on proper display. But what you'll like the most about this motor is the well-built powerful setup. This is a 502 cubic-inch big block that's topped with RamJet fuel injection for the best in power and consistency. It's built for proper power with a Street and Performance throttle body and headers feeding the dual exhaust. There are also nice supporting components, like a serpentine belt system, an aluminum radiator, electric fans, a separate trans cooler, and an Optima battery. It makes for a powerful package that also has plenty of true cruiser ability. So they gave you the right transmission setup with a stout TH400 three-speed automatic unit that also has Gear Vendors overdrive to make it easy to settle into any journey. Add in power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a limited-slip rear end, and this is an easy anytime driver.
This is a shining professional build of an extra-duty 2500-series classic. So if you want a custom truck that's great for enjoying on trips near or far, don't miss this GMC. Call today!!!
