This 1967 Mercury Cyclone is a hardtop classic that has been given the right investments to be equal parts power and poise. So check out everything from the sleek black style to the dual-quad 390 V8, and soon you'll realize this is the full package classic that loves to be distinctly irresistible.
The Cyclone was made to be premium and powerful, and so we like the first impression the paint makes. The black has a solid glossy style that is both upper-class and intimidating. It only gets better with a red pinstripe that loves to show off the attractive kick-up in the profile that starts behind the doors. They even accessorized the paint nicely with details like the dark tinted windows to go with the black and the front brake calipers that go with the pinstripe. It makes for a driver-level classic that shows off an added feeling of thoughtfulness. The full duality of style and muscle is seen throughout the full car. They took the Ford Fairlane's stacked headlight style and gave it a more refined Mercury look with light housings that rose above the fenders and grille lines that warped around the bezels. And we love the way the bright chrome bumpers really hug the form. But the Cyclone loves to be a power car, and this shows it off with large polished exhaust tips, hood pins, and upgraded American Racing competition-style Torq Thrust wheels. Plus, the correct dual scoop hood is pure muscle car cool.
When a classic hardtop has a dark interior to go with the dark exterior, we'd usually describe it in something like mean-as-midnight. But this Mercury also likes to have the nice feel of a premium classic. Fundamentals like the carpeting, dash, and door panels have a clean and detailed appearance. You'll especially like the sporty perforated inserts in the clean upholstery. There are even nice vintage details like the working dome light, Mercury AM radio (display only), and air conditioning. This Cyclone loves to remain a proper driver, and that feeling begins the moment you slip behind the checkered flag Cyclone steering wheel. There are nice factory features like front bucket seats and round gauges dominating the dash. These are joined by upgrades like auxiliary readouts and a large column-mounted Moon tach.
There are two air scoops on the hood and twin carbs under the hood. The dual Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors are part of a performance package that includes an Offenhauser intake, classic Edelbrock finned valve covers, and Hooker headers feeding the dual exhaust. And at the center is the mighty Ford/Mercury 390 cubic-inch V8. It's a well-built power package that also includes supporting components like a newer Cold Case aluminum radiator, electric fans, and a billet distributor. There's a set of exhaust cutouts for when you feel like really letting this mighty V8 roar. But there's also a more cruiser-like nature you can enjoy. The rear end was recently upgraded to a more all-around friendly 3.00 ratio. You also have a C6 three-speed automatic transmission, wide BF Goodrich T/As, and Wilwood front disc brakes.
This is the dual-quad hardtop classic that has a street machine style without losing the proper Mercury cruiser attitude. Call today!!!
