INTRODUCTION:
This was the highest-priced Oldsmobile in its day, the top-of-the-line model loaded with style, performance, and luxury. It has a distinct presence with unique trim, a sporty personality, and an upscale interior that really sets it apart.

EXTERIOR:
Overall, this is a great-looking car. I would be proud to take it to any cruise night or car show. The body appears very solid and straight with a good fit overall. The white metallic paint has a smooth, glossy finish. It is an older paint job, and if you look closely, you will find a few minor flaws. The chrome and trim appear to be original and present very nicely. The rear bumper does have a dent. It has its original glass, and the weatherstrips have been replaced. The dark red convertible top adds a sharp contrast and looks excellent on the car.

INTERIOR:
The interior is the best part of the car. Someone clearly spent good money on the genuine leather upholstery. The door panels are especially stylish, and the upper sections have been upholstered in fresh leather. The seating is very cool too, with bucket seats up front and a rear seat shaped to match. The leather extends to the seat sides as well, giving it a rich, upscale feel. The dash is full of character with plenty of trim and unique shapes, plus the clear plastic detail over the glove box and a really cool steering wheel. Even the pedals have flair. There is a modern stereo hidden in the glove box that powers the custom door panel speakers. Features include a console-mounted tachometer, power windows, power seat, Wonderbar radio, front seat belts, and a speed warning indicator.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
Power comes from Oldsmobile's 394 V8 making 345 horsepower. The engine compartment looks stock, complete, and proper. It is well equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering, and power brakes.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT:
The trunk is huge! Under the trunk lid and in the jamb area it has been repainted. The compartment is lined in felt and features a custom floor panel. Underneath are the spare and jack. There is also a CD changer and amplifier installed.

UNDERSIDE:
Underneath, the car appears solid and maintained as needed. The dual exhaust looks newer and is fitted with glasspack-style mufflers. The fuel tank has been replaced. The front end has been inspected and serviced. The shocks and springs appear to have been replaced as well. The starter was recently rebuilt. It still has its original Hydramatic transmission, and even the 1962 tag remains attached.

SERVICE:
We inspected the car and performed several services, including rebuilding the starter, replacing the valve cover gaskets, changing the oil, and repairing a vacuum leak to the brake booster.

CONCLUSION:
This is a very unique Oldsmobile that blends sporty style with full-size luxury. It shows well, drives beautifully, and offers a lot more character than the typical Camaro or Mustang. If you want something distinctive, stylish, and uncommon, this one really delivers.
