1948 Studebaker 1-Ton 4x4 Flatbed – Mopar 440 – Custom Build Unique 1948 Studebaker 1-ton four-wheel-drive flatbed finished in green and black. The Studebaker body is mounted on a Dodge frame with a lift kit, riding on 16-inch military beadlock wheels and 37-inch Goodyear Wrangler mud tires. Powered by a 1978 Chrysler Mopar 440 big-block with a relatively new transmission, Hurst automatic shifter, and new Edelbrock 650 4-barrel carburetor. Recent work includes a new PCV valve, air cleaner, spark plugs, fuel filter, and fuel line. The truck features an all-metal flatbed with overhead rack, dual fuel tanks, dual batteries with selector switch, custom LED skull headlights, stereo with new speakers and subwoofer, newer seat upholstery, receiver hitch, and a heavy-duty custom front bumper. It drives well and tracks straight. Known needs include valve cover gaskets, a hole in one header pipe, brake fluid flush and bleeding, and a non-working wiper motor. Odometer reading is incorrect.
